HOTSHOT PUTT

Privacy policy

HotShot Putt · Last updated 15 October 2026

HotShot Putt is made by Kwixa Ltd (“we”), a company registered in England and Wales. This policy explains what the HotShot Putt app does with your data. The short version: nothing leaves your device.

Data we collect

None. HotShot Putt does not collect, transmit or store personal data. There is no account of ours, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and the app makes no network requests to any server of ours. There are no ads. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. The only online features are Apple’s own, described below.

Data stored on your device

Everything the app knows is stored locally on your device in the app’s private storage: your settings, your daily results (strokes per hole for each day you played), your streaks, your best rounds on each course, the ball skin you picked and any round in progress. It is included in your iCloud device backup if you have backups on. Deleting the app deletes it. We cannot see it.

Game Center and iCloud

HotShot Putt has two optional Game Center leaderboards: today’s course (fewest strokes) and the longest daily streak. Game Center is Apple’s service: your Apple ID, player name and scores are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, and we never receive them. If you dismiss the Game Center sign-in, the app works exactly the same and nothing is posted.

Your daily results, streaks and course bests are also copied to your own iCloud account (key-value storage) so a new iPhone picks up where you left off. Settings and a round in progress are not copied. That iCloud copy is in your iCloud, not on any server of ours, and is controlled by iCloud in iOS Settings. Purchases are never stored in iCloud.

Purchases

In-app purchases (“Course Pass”, “Tip the dev”) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple’s privacy policy applies to the transaction. We receive no personal information about purchasers; the app only stores a local flag that the purchase was made, which “Restore purchases” re-derives from your Apple ID.

Sharing your result

The share button hands a short line of text (the course number, your strokes, the coloured grid and your streak) to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is your choice; the app sends nothing by itself.

Apple’s own analytics

If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple provides us aggregated, anonymous statistics (installs, crashes, sessions) through App Store Connect. We cannot identify you from these. You can opt out in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Permissions

HotShot Putt never asks for your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Children

HotShot Putt is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version adds anything that touches data beyond Apple’s Game Center and iCloud, this page and the App Store privacy label will change first, and the feature will be off by default.
