Privacy policy
Last updated 15 September 2026
HotShot is made by Kwixa Ltd ("we"), a company registered in England and Wales. This policy explains what the HotShot app does with your data. The short version: nothing leaves your device.
Data we collect
None. HotShot does not collect, transmit or store personal data. There is no account of ours, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and the app makes no network requests to any server of ours. The only online features are Apple's own, described below.
Data stored on your device
Your progress (stars, best scores, settings, daily-challenge streak) is stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. It is included in your iCloud device backup if you have backups on. Deleting the app deletes it. We cannot see it.
Game Center and iCloud
HotShot has two optional Game Center leaderboards (the daily table and total stars). Game Center is Apple's service: your Apple ID, player name and scores are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and we never receive them. If you dismiss the Game Center sign-in, the game works exactly the same and nothing is posted. Your progress is also copied to your own iCloud account (key-value storage) so a new iPhone picks up where you left off; that copy is in your iCloud, not on any server of ours, and is controlled by iCloud in iOS Settings. Purchases are never stored in iCloud.
Purchases
In-app purchases ("Unlock Everything", "Tip the dev") are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's privacy policy applies to the transaction. We receive no personal information about purchasers; the app only stores a local flag that the purchase was made, which "Restore purchases" re-derives from your Apple ID.
Apple's own analytics
If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple provides us aggregated, anonymous statistics (installs, crashes, sessions) through App Store Connect. We cannot identify you from these. You can opt out in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children
HotShot is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version adds anything that touches data beyond Apple's Game Center and iCloud, this page and the App Store privacy label will change first, and the feature will be off by default.
